Glenrosa Home Addition in West Kelowna
A home addition should feel connected to the house you already know. For this project in Glenrosa, Compeau Contracting framed in an addition at an existing deck and completed the exterior and interior work needed to turn it into finished living space. The project included siding, insulation, drywall, paint, electrical updates and new lighting, along with repairs and refinishing to the stairs leading into the addition.
Project Overview
Location: Glenrosa, West Kelowna, BC
Project type: Residential home addition
Services completed: Addition framing, siding, insulation, drywall, painting, electrical updates, stair repairs and lighting

01
Building on the Existing Space
This addition began at an existing deck. Framing in that area created the new enclosed space, while siding brought the exterior work together with the home. Inside, insulation and drywall moved the addition from a framed structure toward a room ready for everyday use.
Working from an existing part of a home means paying attention to the connection between old and new. The exterior needs to look considered, the interior needs a consistent finish, and the access to the space needs to work for the people using it. Those connected details shaped the work on this Glenrosa addition.
02
Finishing the Interior
After the addition was framed and enclosed, the interior work included insulation, drywall and paint. Electrical updates and new lighting completed another essential part of the space.
These stages make a visible difference. Framing establishes the room, but the drywall, paint and lighting are what begin to make it feel like part of the home. By carrying the work through the finishing stages, we were able to bring the different parts of the addition together as one project.

03
Updating the Stairs and Entry to the Addition
The stairs leading to the new space were also part of the renovation. We repaired them, sanded the surfaces and painted them to give the approach a refreshed finish. Lighting was added as part of the work.
Including the stairs in the scope helped address the transition into the addition, rather than treating the new room as a separate piece of construction. It is one of the details that helps the finished space feel connected to the rest of the property.
The Completed Addition
The finished project gave this Glenrosa home more usable interior space. From framing and siding through drywall, paint, electrical work and stair finishing, each stage contributed to the completed addition.
This project is an example of how a home addition involves more than building new walls. Exterior finishes, interior systems and the way people enter and use the space all need attention for the result to work well with the existing home.
